A romantic comedy about a woman who decides to pull up stakes and move to a Jane Austen-themed resort. It sounds way more commercial than most Sundance fare from the past few years, but just quirky enough to be an indie. Plus, it co-stars one half of Flight of the Concords.
The Matthew McConaughey career Renaissance continues through 2013, with this much-buzzed about follow-up from the director of the fantastically creepy Take Shelter.
Shane Carruth’s second feature sounds delightfully weird and extremely intriguing. Sam Adams at The Onion compared it to the creation sequence from The Tree of Life - say no more and sign me up.
A crime drama in which the capture of the Bonnie and Clyde-like couple (played by Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara) is just the start, rather than the grand finale. The film has been compared to Terrence Malick’s Badlands and has received excellent reviews out of the festival.
The follow-up to the sublime Before Sunset, dropping in on Jesse and Celine nine years after their last encounter. Can’t wait!
