This quirky movie brought both Toni Collette and Rachel Griffiths to audiences outside of Australia, and that alone would be more than enough to earn it a place on the list. Alternately funny and devastating, Muriel's Wedding is a gem of a movie.
This Alan Alda directed film (in which he stars alongside Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, Catherine O'Hara and Madeline Kahn) is a delightful (though, sadly, largely forgotten) comedy.
Katherine Hepburn + Cary Grant + James Stewart = yar. 'Nuf said.
Though certainly not a flawless film, Four Weddings and a Funeral remains utterly delightful and totally watchable. Although, it must be said, there's not nearly enough Kristin Scott Thomas in it.
The remake starring Steve Martin and Diane Keaton is pretty good, but nothing beats the classic headlined by Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor. This charming film is the gold standard of wedding movies.

I did a post like this the week of my own wedding! One movie I think deserves an honourable mention here would be THE MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTAN (sings "Somebody's getting MAR-eeeeed!!")
Swell post :)
Bravo for putting "Muriel's Wedding" in there -- that's when I fell in love with Toni Collette. It's a great little gem.
@Mad Hatter: I haven't seen The Muppets Take Manhattan, but I'll defer to your excellent judgment.
@M. Carter: Same here. You're terrible Muriel!
